The Brighton boys cross-country team won a Section V Class A Championship on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Letchworth State Park. Brighton finished with a score of 46 to top Fairport (65). 
 
George Alessandria finished fourth with a time of 15:35.8, Bailey Bateman finished fifth (15:38.4), Elias Seppo finished 11th (16:08), Eli Strobert finished 12th (12:12.3), Jack Pearson finished 14th (16:18), Will Luongo finished 16th (16:18.9), and Henry Alessandria finished 30th (17.04.2).
 
Brighton is coached by Brian Matthews, Shannon Times, and Eileen Kerr
 
The Bruins will represent Section V at the New York State Championships on Nov. 15 at Queensbury High School.
