Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE)

General Information Sheet for Brighton High School

Winter 2025

The Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE) program is available to currently enrolled high school students that have or will have their driver’s permit upon registering for the program.

Dates for the Winter DTSE are:

January 6 – March 14, 2025

DTSE consists of classroom and driving sessions.  Session days and times are below.

Classroom:

Lecture classes are held through ZOOM on Monday & Tuesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00pm.

All students attend lecture classes at the same time and are required to attend both days.

NOTE:  Parents are invited to attend the first hour of the classroom lecture on
Monday, January 6, 2025 to meet the instructor and get an overview of the program.

Driving:

There are four driving options. You are asked to choose ONE as your first choice during     registration. You will also note a second and third choice.

Mondays and Wednesdays:     Group A:  3:30 - 5:00pm or Group B: 5:00 – 6:30pm

Tuesdays and Thursdays:          Group C:  3:30 - 5:00pm or Group D: 5:00 - 6:30pm

 NOTE: Students who miss a classroom or driving session must schedule a make-up with the classroom or driving instructor.

Registration Fee: $640.00   Refunds will not be given after the program begins.
