Attendance Policy
Absences will count against your grade unless you make them up.
Counseling groups, going to the Nurse, going to your counselor, absent from school for any reason will need to be made up.
AP exams, school sponsored field trips DO NOT have to be made up and will not count against your grade.
The student MUST tell the teacher ahead of time that they will miss class due to one of these reasons.
Any SKIPPED class must be discussed with your teacher.
Locker Room
Bring a lock from home
You must have this by September 9th for 9/10 classes and the 8th for 11/12 classes.
You must tell the teacher the combination and locker number or give the spare key to the teacher.
DO NOT tell the teacher your locker number if you don’t have a lock on it!!!!!
Report to locker room for class.
You have approximately 5 minutes of changing time at the beginning of class and approximately 5 minutes at the end. This may change depending upon the unit or class behavior.
YOU MUST SECURE YOUR VALUABLES IN A LOCKER
The teachers are not responsible for items that are stolen in the locker room.
Appropriate Attire
You must wear athletic clothing for class.
Sneakers with laces must be worn (no clogs, platforms, Keds, boat shoes (Sperry’s), or BOBs)
Sweatpants, shorts, socks, t-shirts, and sweatshirts are appropriate.
No inappropriate pictures or slogans on clothing as per school dress code policy.
Remember to dress according to the weather!!
We will go out if the temperature is at least 33°.
Being unprepared for class will affect your grade. Points will be deducted from your grade for each day you are unprepared.
Jewelry Take off all jewelry!!
Cell Phones Must remain in the locker room or hall locker. They are not allowed in class!
Grading
Physical Education is a NYS mandated course. YOU NEED TO PASS EVERY SEMESTER OF PE DURING YOUR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER IN ORDER TO FULFILL PE CREDITS TO GRADUATE.
You will lose 2 points each time you are unprepared but participate.
You will lose 1 point each time you are late.
