About the BSAA’s Robert Lambrix Scholarship
Award
This scholarship is an award of $2,500/year from the Brighton Schools Alumni Association (BSAA), to be used to purchase textbooks or other required academic materials. The award will be provided for four years if the recipient remains in school on a full-time basis. It is now named for Robert (Bob) Lambrix, BHS’57, founder of the BSAA.

The student must complete this application and submit it to the BHS Counseling Center by Friday, March 31, 2025 or emailed to adam_hiller@bcsd.org. The applicant must include an essay of no more than 500 words, addressing the topic provided in the application:

Selection Process
Five finalists will be selected from the applicants by a panel that includes at least one, but no more than two BSAA Scholarship Committee members, three BHS faculty members, and one student. Finalists will be notified in April, and interviews will take place at the high school shortly thereafter. The final decision will be based on the student’s extracurricular and community activities, essay, interview and financial need. The recipient(s) will be featured in the BSAA’s annual newsletter, announced at the BHS Awards Assembly and invited to the BSAA/BHS Alumni Hall of Fame Gala Recognition as the BSAA’s guest(s).

WNY R-AHEC would like to share our AHEC Scholars program with students who going into 2-year health profession programs this fall. We currently have open spots for the Fall of 2024.
What is AHEC Scholars for those not familiar? It is a statewide, HRSA-funded 2-year internship program for anyone enrolled in a health-related degree program and in their last two years of study. There is a stipend up to $1000 each year available for completing the program each year. ($2,000 at program completion)
The FLCC Foundation's scholarship program awards over $165,000 annually. Scholarships range from $400 to full tuition. Whether you're a new, current, or graduating student, scholarships are available to lower the cost of your FLCC education.

The Ladies and Men’s Ancient Order is holding a Scholarship competition in connection with the St Patrick’s Day Parade. We will designate and honor the winner as Ambassador to Waterford at multiple functions leading up to Parade Day. This annual competition fosters the spirit and fellowship which characterized our Irish ancestors as they came to America.

The MMB Accounting Diversity Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to minority students seeking to pursue a career in accounting, as this field has been historically under-represented by the minority community.
MMB will award two, annually renewable $2,000-per-year scholarships. The scholarship can be renewed up to five years for a maximum total award of $10,000 per recipient.

Scholarship renewals will be based upon maintenance of an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Applications are due April 30, 2025 and winners will be announced in May 2025. Funds will be paid to the winners for Fall semester 2025.

The Monroe Professional Engineers Society provides scholar awards to high school seniors from high schools within the counties that comprise the Chapter’s region. Students must plan to attend college to pursue a degree in an ABET accredited engineering program. The Scholar Award is based on academic achievement, participation in scholastic and out of school activities, work experience, and volunteer/community service activities. Scholar awards are sponsored by local companies and organizations. The following is a list of recent awards, their amounts, and sponsor preferences:
The scholar award program also provides copies of applications to the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where the applicants indicate interest in attending RIT to study electrical or computer engineering. RIT reviews the applications and directly awards the Edward J. Ries Memorial Scholarship.
We encourage all seniors who are interested in engineering to review the scholar award application and apply if they meet the minimum requirements of 600/500 Math/Critical Reading SAT’s, 29/25 Math/English ACT’s, and 85 or 3.0 GPA. Applications are available starting October of each year and are due in December. Please see the application for the specific due date.

Completing this one application automatically puts you in the running for any and all scholarships in this group for which you are eligible.

We are very pleased to announce that our $4,000 scholarship will be available for up to
ten qualifying high school students for the year 2025.
To be eligible for our scholarship a student must be a senior who is of Polish descent (at
least one parent) and lives in Monroe County or one of the surrounding six counties. Your
complete (including an official high school transcript) application must reach us by
February 1, 2025. You are required to have an official copy of your academic transcript
emailed to us by your high school. We have no restrictions on your area of major study in
college, that is, you might be majoring in the fine arts, computer science, premed,
languages or still undecided.
Scholarship opportunities are a great perk for members looking to go to college. The Summit members can now apply to our 2025 college scholarships.

The Rochester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta is once again pleased to award up to $4,000 in scholarship funds. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be female-identifying, currently attend (and graduate from) a Monroe County high school and will attend college in Fall 2025.
Delta Delta Delta is a national sorority, founded in 1888. The Rochester Alumnae Chapter has presented local scholarships annually since 1954. The scholarship committee is seeking well-rounded applicants who demonstrate scholastic ability and performance, leadership in their school, as well as a commitment to community service.

National Scholarship Applications
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited college or university in the United States. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program.
Students apply for the Coolidge Scholarship during their junior year of high school. Finalists are flown in for a finalist weekend at the Coolidge Historic Site in Plymouth Notch, Vermont where they interview with the Coolidge Scholars Finalist Jury. Recipients of the Coolidge Scholarship are notified of their award late in their junior year, before college application (note: current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Finalists who are not named Coolidge Scholars are eligible to receive a smaller, one-time, college scholarship.
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants must graduate from a high school located in the United States. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools. The Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Hagan Scholars have attended 637 colleges and universities located in 49 states and the District of Columbia.

JRF Scholars receive grants of up to $35,000 over four years to supplement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. In addition, Scholars receive extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, and attend JRF’s annual multi-day "Mentoring and Leadership Conference" in New York City and other regional events throughout the year.
To be eligible for the Jackie Robinson Fundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a graduating, minority high school senior;
- Be a United States citizen;
- Present evidence of financial need;
- Demonstrate a record of academic excellence;
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service;
-Plan to attend an accredited and JRF approved 4-year college/university within the United States or affiliated with a United States based college or university;
- Have not accrued more than 25% of credits needed to graduate from college.
