BHS Students Share Their Voices at Town’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
The Town of Brighton invited Brighton High School students to speak at its Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Sept. 26. Luisa Batek and Eden Rosales represented BHS and the school’s Latino Student Union. Great job!
Hispanic Heritage Month goes from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. The celebration spans one month to coincide with the anniversaries of independence in many Central and South American countries, including Belize, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. Hispanic Heritage Month officially lasts for 31 days, but the celebration of Latinx communities can and should continue all year long. Throughout the month, Brighton schools will be educating our students and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
