The Brighton Believes Council selects nominees to receive Brighton Believers Awards for demonstrating the Brighton Believes character traits of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, and Self-Control. These award winners are students, teachers, staff members, parents, coaches, and community members. We are accepting nominations and the nomination form is available at www.bcsd.org/believers

On Tuesday, April 29, awards were presented to Brighton High School security guard Harvey Westbrooks and retired BHS science teacher Dr. George Smith. Mr. Westbrooks was nominated by many BHS students for being a friendly, welcoming presence in the school. Dr. Smith was nominated by the Town of Brighton Conservation Board for leading the Town’s Arbor Day tree-planting efforts.
