BHS Raises Awareness About Domestic Violence

During the first week of March, Brighton High School held a series of activities to raise awareness about sexual assault, sexual harassment, and domestic violence.

Activities included collecting donations for domestic violence shelters like Willow and Bivona Child Advocacy Center and writing encouraging letters to children and adults in those centers. The week ended with a walkout to plant 45 flags, each representing 100 cases of domestic violence reported in Monroe County in 2023.
