Brighton High School students hosted 47 French exchange students from Rennes, France. The students visited Brighton Oct. 13-22.
The students and their three advisors are from a school in Cesson-Sévigné, a suburb of Rennes. During their visit, the students attended classes at Brighton High School and visited the University of Rochester, Rochester Museum and Science Center, Nazareth University, Rochester City Hall, and Niagara Falls.
The Rennes-Rochester Sister City Partnership began in 1958. BHS and Lycée Sévigné have traveled every two years since 2016. BHS French teacher and Rennes Exchange advisor Jessica Beh and three other chaperones (Dr. Tom Hall, Laura Byrne, and Kelsey Hadzima) will accompany 38 BHS students to Paris and Rennes during February break in 2025.
